Meet Your Coaches
Anna Cruz – Founder & Head Coach, AC Fitness
BSc Health Sciences, Diploma of Kinesiology, NASM Certified Personal Trainer
I’m Anna, the Founder and Head Coach of AC Fitness, where I help people move with purpose, build confidence, and take control of their health. My approach to training is built on intentional movement, smart progressions, and real-world application—because fitness should make you feel stronger in everyday life, not just in the gym.
With a Bachelor of Science, a Diploma in Kinesiology, and a Personal Training Certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine, I bring both scientific knowledge and hands-on coaching experience to every session. I have received my education from Simon Fraser University and have had countless of amazing mentors that have backgrounds in sports training, rehab and injury training and weightlifting.
My background in CrossFit and Olympic lifting fuels my programming, where I prioritize functional movements, safe, efficient, and effective training that meets each person where they are—whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned athlete.
My coaching philosophy, "Movement with Purpose," is about more than just workouts. It’s about unlocking your full potential by mastering the fundamentals and applying them beyond the gym. Strength isn’t just about lifting weights—it’s about moving better, feeling more capable, and building a body that supports your lifestyle. Whether you want to perform better in your sport, move without pain, or simply feel strong and confident in your own skin, I’m here to guide you through that journey.
Outside of coaching, I love staying active in ways that bring me joy—from snowboarding in the winter to paddleboarding in the summer. These sports aren’t about competition for me; they’re just fun ways to move and enjoy life. I also practice yoga to unwind, helping me stay balanced and recover from the intense demands of training. Right now, I’m pushing myself in a new way by training for a HYROX race in 2026, always looking for ways to challenge myself and grow as both an athlete and a coach.
At AC Fitness, my goal is simple: help you move better, feel stronger, and show up as your best self—inside and outside the gym. Whether you're here to improve your performance, build confidence, or create lasting lifestyle changes, I’m all in on supporting you every step of the way.
